Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
6 cloves garlic, minced
½ kg freshly ground beef
1 tsp Spanish paprika
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp chili powder
1 ½ sachets 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp lemon zest

Garlic Cream Sauce

2 cloves garlic, mashed
2 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp fine salt
¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
1 tbsp minced parsley

Topping

4 tbsp melting cheese

Salad

1 pc cucumber, peeled, seeded and sliced
3 pcs tomatoes, sliced
1 pc red onion, thinly sliced
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp minced parsley
6 pcs large flour tortilla, quartered

Steps

VIEW WITHOUT STEPS

  • STEP 1

    Sauté garlic and ground beef in olive oil for 10 minutes. 

  • STEP 2

    Add paprika, cumin, chili powder, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®, pepper, sugar and lemon zest. Cook for 5 minutes. Transfer in a baking container, press down and set aside. (10 mins)

  • STEP 3

    Combine Nestlé All Purpose Cream, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper and parsley. Mix well. Divide into 2 portions. (3 mins)

  • STEP 4

    Pour 1 portion of the cream mixture on top of ground beef mixture. Grate cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes or until top is golden brown. (10 mins)

  • STEP 5

    Meanwhile, combine cucumber, tomato, onion, salt and parsley. Mix well and set aside. (10 mins)

  • STEP 6

    Remove Shawarma Bake from oven. Serve warm with salad, Garlic Cream Sauce and flour tortilla. (2 mins)
